FAQs
What is the purpose of the Booster Club?
Our purpose is to provide financial support for the athletic programs and to promote an atmosphere of school spirit at CFHS athletic events. It is our goal to involve as many parents of athletes as possible to participate in the activities the club promotes.
How do I join the Booster Club?
Come to a meeting and become a voting member! We meet in the Chippewa Falls High School library at 6:30 pm on the 2nd Wednesday of every month (except July). For $5, you can be a voting member of the Booster Club and receive a free Chi Hi Booster Club sticker. Parents and friends of all present and past student athletes are encouraged to become members. A member may join anytime throughout the year.
Can I become involved even if I don't want to attend meetings?
Yes! We need volunteers to help out at our concession stands and to work at our annual Extravaganza event. Parents of current athletes should expect to help out at one or two concession stand events per year.
How is the Booster Club money spent?
All of the money, directly or indirectly, goes back to the sports programs. We purchase uniforms, equipment, sponsor clinics, and events. Most importantly, it helps to keep the CFHS activity fees to only $20/sport, $40 max per individual, and $100 max per family.
Can athletic teams fundraise outside of organized Booster Club events?
Individual team fundraisers are allowed. 10% of the proceeds must be given to the Booster Club. Each sport has an account at Chi Hi which is to be used for all financial transactions.
Is the Booster Club a 501(c)(3)?
Yes, the Chippewa Falls Senior High Athletic Booster Club is a registered 501(c)(3).
